WEAVING SERVICE ENGINEER

Job Summary
Vandewiele Vietnam is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Weaving Service Engineer
to provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales support for
Vandewiele weaving technologies, including IRO yarn feeders, ROJ feeders, loom control
systems, and related weaving solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with textile manufacturers throughout Vietnam to
ensure optimal machine performance, deliver technical training, support customer operations,
and contribute to the growth of Vandewiele’s weaving business in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Support
• Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of
weaving equipment and related systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and software-related
issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, machine audits, and performance inspections.
• Prepare and submit service reports, installation reports, and customer visit reports in a
timely manner.
• Coordinate with global technical teams for complex troubleshooting and technical
escalations.
Customer Support & Training
• Provide technical guidance and operational training to machine operators, technicians,
and maintenance personnel.
• Handle customer service requests and complaints in accordance with company
procedures.• Conduct regular follow-up visits and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support customers in improving machine efficiency, reducing downtime, and optimizing
production performance.
Product Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Collect and analyze customer feedback regarding machine performance and product
quality.
• Report quality issues, recurring failures, and field observations to global technical teams.
• Participate in new product testing, evaluation, and validation activities.
• Support implementation of technical upgrades and product improvement programs.
Spare Parts & Commercial Support
• Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct spare parts.
• Promote genuine spare parts and approved upgrade solutions.
• Support sales activities through technical presentations, demonstrations, machine
assessments, and customer visits.
Market Intelligence
• Collect information on market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
• Provide regular market and technical feedback to management.
Other Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
• Participate in local and overseas technical training programs organized by Vandewiele.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Technical Service Manager.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in:
o Mechatronics Engineering
o Electrical / Electronic Engineering
o Textile Engineeringo Automation Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering or related technical disciplines
Experience
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in technical service, maintenance, commissioning, or
production support within the textile industry.
• Hands-on experience with weaving machinery and related equipment, such as:
o Air-jet looms
o Rapier looms
o Water-jet looms
o Yarn feeders
o Electronic control systems
o Industrial automation equipment
• Experience working in weaving mills or textile manufacturing plants is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of weaving processes and textile production environments.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, sensors, industrial electronics, pneumatics, and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings,
and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with machine diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting
methodologies.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting.
Language Requirements
• English: Intermediate to Advanced level (minimum B1/B2).
• Chinese (Mandarin): Basic communication ability is a strong advantage.
